Many assume that the solar panels of SEI are made of different colored glass, however in reality, the color play is created by the incidence of light and the viewing angle, resulting in a dynamic facade that looks significantly different at noon than at sunset.
The solar panels are slightly rotated on a horizontal axis to leverage the iridescent qualities of the structural colour coating, without glare thanks to the Satin finish. The anisotropic coating changes the reflected colour from dark blue-grey to silver-grey as the sun moves – providing an ever-changing range of shades that never fade.
Electrically, the facade is designed to ensure a high resistance to shadows from the surroundings, and by monitoring at panel level we can stay on top of possible damages to the facade.
Effective standardisation of the cladding with relatively few panel formats and a flexible mounting system ensures a durble and service-friendly facade.
