Our solar facade for the Powerhouse Telemark, designed by Snøhetta, generates enough electricity to repay the embodied energy and operational consumption over the next 60 years. The crystal finished solar facade with completely invisible high efficiency photovoltaic cells adds to the prismatic sculptural form of the building, while lightweight and ventilated cladding panels and hidden mountings integrate the energy-producing facade cladding.
Solarlab.dk custom designed and manufactured the system in all black with light weight and ventilated cladding panels. Hidden mountings and invisible electrical components fully integrate this energy producing facade cladding and compliments the buildings expressive shape.
The office building's unique shape is inspired by surrounding conditions, while simultaineously optimizing solar energy harvesting.
